Aseefa Zardari moved the internet yesterday when during her attendance of the oath taking ceremony at the President’s house, many social media users were shocked by how much the youngest daughter resembled her late mother, the prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

Aseefa chose to subtly honor her mother as she was appointed as the First Lady of Pakistan, the first time the position was given to the daughter of a president rather than his wife. She resembled her mother with the same high cheekbones and red lipstick, and chose to wear the iconic green shalwar kameez and doned the white dupatta, the way her mother had dressed during her reign as prime minister.

“Aseefa bhutto truly represents the pride of our country and the strength of Pakistani daughters. I’m sure Benazir Bhutto is smiling down from heaven.Congratulations to the PPP, and President, Asif Ali Zardari!” a user wrote.
