Hamna has established herself as a controversial character in Dar-e-Nijaat, however Romaisa Khan has come forward to support her. In a detailed interview with Fuchsia Magazine, she justified the character she plays and states that her texting Abu Bakr (Sheheryar Munnawar) is justifiable. She said that it has been Abu Bakr who left her at the madrissah after she turned up at her place claiming to be in love with him. The young girl who is still infatuated to him did not find a good husband in Zamil (Nameer Khan) who also was supposedly religious like Abu Bakr.
Romaisa stated that in her state of mind where she is pregnant and stranded by her husband, it is only natural that she is attracted to Abu Bakr again. She still feels for him and not being able to find the same kind of person in Zamil, it is normal for her to make the mistakes she does.

Romaisa also opened up about why she chose playing Hamna’s character and said that she holds a suspense to her. Her intriguing personality and hoe intense it is moved Romaisa to the character.
