A tragic crime has shaken Islamabad after a three-year-old girl, who had gone missing was found dead in a nearby forested area, ARY News reported. Police investigations revealed that the child was sexually assaulted before being murdered, leading to the swift arrest of her brother-in-law, who has been identified as the prime suspect. According to details provided by the police, the incident unfolded when the young girl was playing in the street right outside her residence. When family members went to check on her a short while later, they discovered she was missing and immediately raised the alarm, fearing she had been abducted.
During a targeted search and investigation, law enforcement officers recovered the victim’s body from a heavily wooded area. Medical findings confirmed that the minor had been subjected to severe sexual violence before her life was cut short. Her body was dumped in the forest in an attempt to hide the crime.
By utilizing critical forensic evidence and rapid investigative techniques, the Islamabad police tracked down and apprehended the suspect, identified as Kashif, the victim’s brother-in-law. Authorities presented the accused in court, where a magistrate granted a five-day physical remand to allow investigators to complete their inquiry.
