Bas Tera Saath Ho picks up pace as the criminal case against Mursaleen (Faran Tahir) gets complicated with the deaths of children from juice poisoning. While Anas (Farhan Saeed) has indulged in protecting his uncle, Ansa (Sana Javed) stands tall against him as she does not support her husband fighting for the ones who have given him nothing but trauma. She not only wants her husband to prioritize himself, but her heart also goes out to the victims. Amidst it all is Dada Jee (Salman Shahid), completely distraught but he becomes a shield for Anas and Mursaleen as Ansa questions integrity and well-being.

While Ansa only wishes well for her husband, she has been given an elaborate sketch of why Anas is out fighting for his uncle. He puts his uncle in place their of a father and the respect of the relationship has bound Anas to defend him in the legal battle. He also attempts to whitewash Mursaleen before Ansa stating that he is not a bad person but circumstances had pushed him to become otherwise. He claims responsibility of his actions and adds that his ill treatment of his other son not only ripped away Anas’ childhood but also made Mursaleen selfish and aggressive.

Bas Tera Saath Ho viewers have developed an opinion of Anas, however, they intend to understand that his personality is a representation of his childhood traumas. They place the onus of Anas’ spineless behavior on Dada Jee whose decisions shaped his childhood. They also blame him for his control over Anas because it has been the promises he made to his grandfather that hold him back. Whether it’s exposing Shayan (Haris Waheed) or standing tall against his uncle’s mistreatment, it has been Dada Jee who had locked him in promises and respect.

Netizens do not appreciate how Dada Jee easily took the blame off of his son, holding higher expectations from Ansa. A user commented:
