In a recent update in the money laundering case against Dr. Fazeela Abbasi, her brother, actor Hamza Ali Abbasi, has denied any links to the case. In an Instagram statement, he said associating him with the case is baseless and that he is under no investigation by any authorities.

He further added that he would take legal action against any allegations made against him in the ongoing Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) investigation. He added that he stands by his sister in this trying time for the family; however, he will not be involved in her professional or legal matters.
He further said that he believes his sister’s side of the story should also be heard. He entrusted the justice system of Pakistan and added that truth will prevail and justice will be given. He reiterated that media outlets must not use his name in any further coverage of the case, as doing so will result in legal consequences.
Hamza Ali Abbasi is an established name in the Pakistani entertainment industry as an actor and director. He is widely known for his lead roles in hit dramas such as Pyarey Afzal and Mann Mayal, and in films such as The Legend of Maula Jatt as Noori Natt and Waar. He is the author of the book My Discovery of God: Islam and Judgement Day.
