Here are some of the upcoming dramas we’re definitely going to be watching as soon as they come to our screens.
Aik Jhooti Kahani starring Zara Noor Abbas and Mohib Mirza
We’ve only seen the trailer but ‘Eik Jhooti Kahani’ is already causing a buzz among drama lovers because it promises to bring up a story about family chaos featuring an elder, responsible brother and four chaotic sisters. From the premise, we can tell that this drama will revolve around the elder brother trying to settle down with his wife, but his four younger sisters keep striking up chaos in the family.
Already, the internet was driven to fits when Zara shared a reel of the cast trying not to laugh while Syed Muhammad Ahmed tried to pronounce Gen-Z slag.
‘Goonj’ starring Komal Meer and Gohar Rasheed
Komal Meer’s next drama is going to tackle harassment in the workplace, a topic we have rarely seen covered in Pakistani dramas so we’re definitely excited to see how this path is taken. Already, from the few clips released online it looks like the drama is going to be quite intense!
The director behind this drama is Wajahat Rauf who has already has a reputation for bringing sensitive topics to light such as Hadsa, Guru or the film ‘Parde Mein Rehnay Do’. So we’re definitely excited to see what this drama is going to be all about!
Case No. 9 starring Saba Qamar and Aminah Sheikh
Fans of the drama ‘Maat’ will definitely be seated for this as Saba and Aminah are coming back once more with the legal courtroom drama ‘Case No 9’ which is penned by the journalist Shahzeb Khanzada. The drama already features a star-studded cast including Hina Bayat, Faisal Qureshi, Gohar Rasheed and Ali Rehman. Saba had previously released some behind the scenes looks into the shooting, and called this ‘healing’ and ‘a chapter I didn’t even know I needed.”
