A horrifying case of animal cruelty has shocked the nation after disturbing Instagram stories emerged showing a young woman—identified as a social media influencer—torturing and killing animals, including cats and bunnies. The content was reportedly posted to the account, triggering widespread condemnation and an urgent response from both law enforcement and animal welfare organisations.

JFK Animal Rescue and Shelter, one of the first groups alerted to the situation, immediately contacted ASP Shehrbano Naqvi. The DHA police swiftly raided the premises. What authorities discovered was deeply unsettling: the remains of multiple animals, blood on the floors, cigarette butts scattered around, and an overall scene described as “more disturbing than we imagined.”

“We were reported about an extremely horrific situation,” JFK stated in a post. “Cigarettes, dead bodies of animals, and blood all over… Was it some sort of satanic ritual? The police will investigate and let us know.”

The influencer was reportedly present during the raid and was seen laughing, according to witnesses. Her father was also at the scene and allegedly attempted to shield her from law enforcement. Authorities have not yet confirmed if the woman is struggling with mental illness or substance abuse, but these questions are now part of an ongoing investigation.

ASP Shehrbano Naqvi, known for her proactive work on social justice issues, issued a public statement following the incident. She emphasized the broader societal risks of unchecked animal cruelty, noting that individuals who harm animals often escalate to harming vulnerable people, including children.

“We must take every report of cruelty seriously,” she said. “This is not just about animals—it’s about the safety and conscience of our society.”

JFK Animal Rescue confirmed they are filing an FIR  against the influencer to ensure she is never allowed custody of an animal again. The Pakistan Animal Rescue Centre (PARC) is coordinating with JFK to relocate the surviving animals to their shelter.

This chilling case has reignited calls for stronger animal protection laws in Pakistan and sparked an intense debate about the responsibilities of influencers and the dark side of online platforms.

“This will not be ignored or forgotten,” JFK stated. “Please stay alert and never allow anyone—especially someone unstable or unwell—to have access to innocent animals.”

Authorities have confirmed that an investigation is ongoing and updates will be provided as the case develops.
