Veteran actress Saba Faisal was a guest on the Suno Tv show ‘Suno To Sahi’ where she was asked about her take on why divorce rates in the country were rising in Pakistan
The actress explained that marriages were falling apart because women were actively trying to compete with men by becoming financially independent which is why the traditional system was disrupted.
“Women are trying to compete with men, and men are naturally designated to be the providers of the family,” the ‘Habs’ actress. “Women and men can never be equal to one another because Allah has placed men on a higher pedestal than women, and despite how much times may change this position will never be challenged.”
Saba stressed that Allah’s final ruling can never be challenged as men have to remain the providers of the family. She emphasised that the way couples can save their marriage from falling apart is by developing more tolerance for one another, “If you don’t have any tolerance for one another then your lives would become incredibly hard.
