In Lahore, a father and son were arrested from Mughalpura after they shot and killed a woman.
According to Express News, the suspects Shiraz and his son Abdul Rehman, had shot a woman after having a minor argument with her. Both fled the scene and were arrested with the CCTV cameras, along with the murder weapon.
According to the DIG Investigation Zeeshan, a police team was dispatched in order to arrest the accused and now both are in the custody of the police. Both would be severely punished after all legal requirements are fulfilled.
Another horrific crime case was uncovered in Lahore on January 9th after the police arrested the principal of a private academy for allegedly raping a ninth grade student. According to ARY, the parents reported that all students were called in on a Saturday for extra classes, and the principal then dismissed all of the students except for one child. That pupil was taken to the lab room where they were allegedly raped by the principal.
According to authorities, an FIR has been filed and the survivor is undergoing a medical examination, after which authorities will take action against the perpetrator.

On 11th January, another case of violence against women emerged in Lahore where a 20 year old woman was critically injured after her family tried to murder her in the name of ‘honor’ because of her choice to marry for love.
The survivor, Shumaila, had chosen to marry a man Madni, and her family was angered by the union and had attempted to murder her.
