Yasra Rizvi has a hilarious list of reasons why instead of older men, there are more benefits of marrying a younger man

Actress and director Yasra Rizvi was a guest on Ushna Shah’s talk show ‘After Hours’ where she opened up about her marriage to her partner Abdul Hadi. On the show, the ”Churails’ actress joked that there were several benefits to marrying a man younger than her.

Yasra said with older men, women had to be more involved in the household responsibilities-but with younger men they were more easier to handle.

“They can make their own tea, they can handle their own responsibilities they don’t have the same hangups that older men do,” remarked Yasra. “If I had been married to an older man then I would have had to complete more chores around the house. With a younger man I don’t have to worry before asking him to do a task since it’s known that younger people have more energy.”

Yasra further revealed that her husband was more tech-savy than her, since for the longest time she did not know how to book a car on an app. “I didn’t know how to use Careem,” the actress hilariously revealed. “So I ask him to do this, or to help me access my bank account since he has it in his phone. I joke that these kind of things weren’t available in my time.”

Yasra Rizvi and her husband tied the knot back in 2016 and share a son together. The couple received some backlash a few years ago over the age gap in their relationship, particularly with how the actress was older than her husband. In an Instagram post, the ‘Dunk’ actress seemingly shut down the haters by appreciating her partner for all the joy and stability he brought to her life.

“Why Abdul Hadi?” she wrote. “Because he is the only one who always shows up for me, never makes me feel that I am too much when in fact I am, endures my intensity and neurosis but makes it look like a walk in the park, lets me go when I need to and takes me in like I never left, I dont have to lie to him ever and you guys have no idea what that means for someone like me; to be able to be me .. all of me because I am .. to put it nicely acquired taste 🙂 and not so easy to acquire yet he still chooses to live with me year after year. He is my friend, parent, partner, confidant, enabler, facilitator and biggest cheerleader. He is home and always will be! ❤”
