Controversial fashion designer Maria B is back in hot water once more. The fashion designer introduced her new designer collection which was said to be inspired by the Palestinian culture, especially the keffiyeh scarf which is a traditional headdress worn by the locals.
In her Instagram caption, Maria B said that the profits from this collection were going directly to the families of Gaza. Which prompted many social media users to question which charities, and why hadn’t the fashion designer tagged them in her Instagram caption if this was a collaborative effort to send funds to Gaza.
I’m in absolute awe of Maria B’s tireless devotion to the cause of the Muslim Ummah BUT I wish that there could be some transparency as to how exactly would she be sending money to the people of 🇵🇸 by selling her latest range of clothing. pic.twitter.com/hI7I5xnoAW

Maria B’s new campaign capitalizes on the worst tragedy that’s happening right now. 🤮

The Maria B Falasteen collection is really killing me I cant do this please just… you don’t need to appropriate an entire culture of people living through a genocide to be able to donate to their cause okay Maria B could just donate the earnings from her EXISTING COLLECTIONS

An activist pointed out that the fashion designer’s new collection was named ‘Palestine Pret’ and her designs were quite similar to another brand ‘Palestine Quebec’ after she shared pictures of two outfits to show their similarity.
The original design vs Maria B’s knock off! And then she has the audacity to call herself an artist and a designer. https://t.co/ccPzybHlPu pic.twitter.com/xoTC3JC7JJ
