Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Akhtar recently posted a social media video, where they clarified the controversy caused by an earlier video where Afridi could be heard joking inside a team bus touring alongside a host of Pakistani cricketers saying ‘plaster nhin utar rha’.
Many social media users mistook Afridi’s comments as being directed at former Prime Minister Imran Khan, which had many PTI supporters riled up.

However, the group of retired cricketers cleared the air through a social media video. On Wednesday, Akhtar posted a video on his official YouTube profile featuring Afridi, Misbah- ul- Haq, and Sohail Tanvir enjoying quality time in a restaurant in Doha, as the former cricketers clarified that Afridi’s comments were aimed at Akhtar, and were in no way directed at IK.

Clearly, Afridi had been taking a dig at the Pakistan pacer. Earlier, when Shaheen Afridi had a knee injury relapse and could only bowl 2.1 overs before being forced off the field. Shoaib Akhtar said in an interview that if he were in Shaheen’s place, he would’ve bowled all four overs. Afridi had been joking about Akhtar’s remarks saying “No doubt, Shoaib bore a lot of pain for Pakistan. But my brother has taken so many injections that now, he can’t even walk. He can’t even remove his plaster,â to which even Akhtar himself broke into laughter.
