Lahore Qalandars beat Multan Sultans to win PSL trophy

Lahore Qalandars put up a coveted victory against Multan Sultans at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore on Sunday, winning the match by 42 runs and bagging their first Pakistan Super League (PSL) title.

The victory has come as a big celebration, especially to the fans of lahore who have now waited 7 years for this moment. Apart from getting the trophy, the Qalandars’ have also bagged the final prize money– Rs80 million. Meanwhile, the Sultans have received the prize for runner-up team getting Rs32 million.

The Sultans took off with a difficult start with a 181-run target, and unfortunately failed to deliver. Mohammad Rizwan was out of the game at 14, Shan Masood 19, and Aamer Azmat 6. The Qalandars’ bowlers put up an impressive fight as Shaheen Afridi picked up three wickets, Mohammad Hafeez and Zaman Khan two each.
