13 family members die after drinking poisoned milk in Khairpur

Another horrific murder case has emerged after 13 family members were found dead in Khairpur after drinking poisoned milk. According to Dawn News, the post mortem has revealed that the poisoned milk was mixed with narcotic substances and  medicines .

According to the Senior Superintendent of the Police, samples of the poisoned milk were taken from the deceased family’s stomach, nose  and other parts of the body.

He also promised that strict action would be taken against the perpetrators, as the police had already began investigating the case.

A previous case had also emerged from Khairpur according to Aaj news where 10 children fell ill after eating contaminated food. They were rushed to the hospital immediately where two died upon arrival. Eight remained in critical condition and four others died later.

This is not the most recent case where a family passed away after eating contaminated food.

In August, the country was left shocked after three women from a Lahore family passed away from consuming pastries and juice from the Motorway M-2 Bahria.

According to Pakistan Today, the survivor recounted to the police that after the family had stopped for food at the bakery, everyone in the car was not feeling well and immediately lost consciousness. They said that the Motorway Police had to break open the car windows in order to rescue him.

The survivor said that the mother was still breathing however his mother, sister and sister-in-law had passed away from the poisoned food.

The deceased members of the family were taken to a hospital immediately in order to conduct medical examinations.
