In Bahwalpur, a woman who was beaten and tortured by a police officer a few days ago was found dead on Sunday at the Chini Ghot Railway Station in Bahwalpur.
On April 7, a video went viral on social media where the deceased woman was seen being tortured by a police man along with her children. Railway officials took action by arresting the policeman. However, Geo reported on the same day the cop’s bail was approved by a local Hyderabadi court on a bond of Rs 35,000.
The woman was found dead a day after the cop’s bail. According to the police, the railway officer took the woman along with him after violently beating her up on April 7.
The deceased woman’s brother Afzal, revealed the woman worked in Karachi in a beauty parlour and was travelling to Jaranwala to visit family for Eid. He demanded the violent death of his sister must be investigated.
