Pakistani dramas are truly serving some of their best treats for the fans with rom coms like ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ and the feminist thriller ‘Noor Jahan’ which has captivated audiences with the powerful performances by Kubra Khan and Saba Hamid alike. We are definitely hooked on this show, and if you’re still one of those living under a rock then its time you joined the room.
This week’s episodes saw Noor Bano reaching transitioning into the most powerful and fearful woman on the show. Fans were left spellbound by how she took down everyone who messed with her from the beginning. X users marvelled at the scene where Noor Bano smirks as Noor Jahan while her two sons feud with each other.
Never seen something so satisfying and strong like this in the history of PTV #NoorJahan pic.twitter.com/f2yDLvEKfu

The importance of female friendships
This week’s episodes were definitely an ode to the how a woman can become her best version with the help of a community behind her. Sumbul was able to find her voice and happiness after leaving an unhappy marriage, and X users had to applaud Hajra Yamin’s stellar acting chops.
Watched this entire scene with my mouth open, eyes widened, Sumbul went from being Noor Jahan’s puppet to THIS WOMAN, the savage queen, the truth teller, exactly what you call character growth, Hajra Yamin 👏🏻

Twitter users are loving the way ‘Noor Jahan’ celebrates the power of sisterhood, chronicling the stories of women coming from different backgrounds who join together to find community as this one user wrote:
#NoorJahan signifies how vital it is for women to have AGENCY. For them to be strong from WITHIN. To find courage & reassurance in the fact that they themselves are ENOUGH to tackle any situation of adversity & their fate does not lie in the hands of a husband or mother in law. pic.twitter.com/JvA6CT5DfX

Noor Jahan is story of women: strong women, alone women, women who have been through trauma. Absolutely loving it.#noorjahan pic.twitter.com/ggV1bYLYn6

We definitely can’t remember the last time a show didn’t stoop down to toxic saas-bahu jhagray and misogynist troops, but actually revolved around the message that women can find true solidarity by joining hands with other women around them. Kudos to the actors as well as the writers of this show for leading such a strong message that we hope the rest of the industry picks up on!
Along with this, we are huge fans of the light-hearted drama ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’.
