Nazia Ejaz Khan, who is the daughter of the late musician and actor Noor Jehan, was a guest on the show ‘Aap Ki Kahani with Deepak Perwani’. The duo discussed the life and career of the prodigious singer, especially why she choose to leave behind a successful career in Bollywood and travel to Pakistan.
Deepak Prewani revealed the ‘Chandni Raatien’ singer wanted to travel to Pakistan and be with her own people, so she set up Shahnoor Studio which was a collaboration with her husband Shaukat Hussain Rizvi, in order to start a new movement for the Pakistani film industry.
“She used to say ‘I will go back to where I was born'”, said Deepak Perwani on the show. “So she left Bombay and her illustrious career and went back to Lahore to set up Shahnoor Studios with her husband to start a new movement regarding the Pakistani movie industry.”
