With Faraz(Nameer Khan) taking a bullet aimed at Pakeezah(Sehar Khan), Aik Aur Pakeezah has struck again with a powerful episode. Akbar(Umar Dar) wanting his sister dead and shooting as she stares right into his eyes, takes the drama serial up a notch. With lamented eyes, her pain grows deeper as the idea of a happy life with Faraz slowly fades away.
Her inability to recognise the attacker despite seeing them clearly cements the fact that it was her brother, Akbar, who pulled the trigger on Pakeezah, with Faraz walking right in. Further, Akbar’s disorientation towards the incident and his confessing how his sister no longer trusts him adds to the fact that it was surely he who wished Pakeezah dead rather than seek justice.

With the haunting scenes in Aik Aur Pakeezah, the makers yet again lay out the difficulties a woman faces as she walks on the path to seek justice. The perpetrator on the loose, her own brother, chose to shoot her than become her support as she walks the treacherous path. As she slowly looks towards a bright future with her husband, a family member is ready to dim it down. Stuck between saving her brother and delivering justice for Faraz, Pakeezah faces another challenge. Stating that it’s a blur, she does not name the shooter, yet she is unable to face Faraz as he recovers in the hospital.

The bone-chilling sequences thicken as she does not wish her brother to follow her home, knowing he might strike again. This leaves Akbar in shock, too, with guilt all over him; he understands why Pakeezah no longer trusts him. He comes back home, unable to express himself and tell why he did not protect her sister as she walked home alone, as a threat hung over her.

With attention to detail and clashing emotions, Aik Aur Pakeezah viewers became the investigators of Faraz’s shooting and were quick to pin their suspicion on Akbar. Pointing out the blame in Pakeezah’s eyes and overcompensation by Akbar, a netizen stated that it was Akbar who shot Faraz. They posted on X:
this is when i knew. the blame in pakeezah’s eyes and akbar’s overcompensating atittude were performed AMAZINGLY. #aikaurpakeezah https://t.co/b3ddRYFBMZ pic.twitter.com/czJeFylOXQ

Another stated that the episode has dropped several hints to know it was the brother and posted:
Pakeezah clearly saw who tried to shoot her & ended up hurting Faraz. But, she claims that she hasn’t seen the perpetrator which means it was her brother, Akbar? Enough nuggets in the episode indicating the same.
And, thank you for keeping Faraz alive.#AikAurPakeezah

Digging deep into the sequence, one user added:

Pakeezah saving the shooter has given Aik Aur Pakeezah the chance to dive into another layer of the justice system, selective accountability, a user said and posted:
with pakeezah’s first instinct being to protect the shooter who presumably is akbar there is so much potential to unpack here about what justice truly means and how selective accountability also weakens the system and with bee gul ik i won’t be disappointed #aikaurpakeezah

As grief was at the center of the Aik Aur Pakeezah episode, Sehar Khan and Umar Dar’s realistic performances won hearts. Calling for recognition and awards for Sehar Khan, a user posted:

Sehar Khan has been outdoing her own performance as Pakeezah with each episode. What a gut wrenching performance 🙌
Give this girl all the awards for playing Pakeezah with such rawness and nuances#AikAurPakeezah pic.twitter.com/DTkoVTTgbM— 🐇 (@Bunn1iess) March 25, 2026
Stating that Umar Dar deserves acclaim for his performance as Akbar, a user commented:

Bee Gul’s sketch of the characters also won acclaim, as a netizen posted on X and said:
Akbar has traumatized the hell out of me but I can’t help appreciate the good writing. Bee Gul rarely gives you a good guy (hero) or a villain.. She wants you to see the rot in the society
Akbar ko leke you can see the diff bw understanding why he is broken #AikAurPakeezah

Drama critic, Rabia Mughni, added:
#AikAurPakeezah Every episode leaves me in awe of Bee Gul. The characters are so layered, so human yet so grey. Though the complexity with which the script, ideas and characters have been presented makes it a difficult watch for the common viewer.
