The Indian team batted first and Virat Kohli scored a 60 off 44 balls, and two misfields in the end from Fakhar Zaman took India to 181/7.
Pakistan were struggling to keep up for much of the first half of their batting chase, with India dismissing captain Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman fairly early in the game.

Asif Ali then almost secured the Pakistan win home after Arshdeep Singh dropped a catch from him. However, that happened later with just two balls to spare and with Pakistan still needing two runs to win, when Pakistan ran hard and took two runs off the next ball, winning the match by five wickets.
