If Parwaish was focused solely on the lives of teenagers, then this week’s episode solely belonged to the dads, and how they proved that a strong parental figure makes all the difference in a child’s life.

Social media users were particularly in awe over how Maya’s father evolved from being a hard-hearted man who was forcing his daughter to marry someone and abandon her medicine dream, to a man who consoled Maya when she was in grief about Wali being shot.

In a heartwarming scene, Maya tried to apologise to her dad, who instead shushes her and calls her in for an embrace. This scene had X users in tears, who praised the showmakers for such incredible character development.

Shaheer spent a lifetime thinking his daughter would never understand him, turns out it was him who never tried to understand her. Today, a father was born when he chose love over control. The growth & realization this character has had over time is remarkable,” wrote a user.

From a man who tried in every way to mould Maya to his whims to someone who tried to understand his daughter’s dreams, Parwarish has done an incredible job at showing what good character development is.

Another highlight of the show was how Jahangir stepped to prove that a real father was never someone who cut off his children when they refused to follow his orders, but someone who consoled and supported them during their toughest times. When Sameer was arrested for allegedly doing drugs at a party, his father responded with understanding rather than anger, moving the internet to tears with his quiet display at what good parenting looks like.

As this Youtube commentor put it, today’s episode belonged solely to the two fathers only.

Especially when the daadi and daada began lambasting Sameer for his actions in the living room, Suleiman quickly stepped into to remind them that the boy was guilty for his actions, and as his family it was their responsibility to act like supportive figures around him rather than shunning him.

Some users shared that was a good decision for the writers to make Aniya witness the conversation between her chachu and grandparents, to help ease the blame her father had placed on her for drinking with friends which is why they shifted from the US to Pakistan in the first place.
