Pakistan may have reached the finals in the Asia Cup but the loss let criticism trap them much sooner than expected.
In a nail biting match yesterday, Pakistan started off with a great start but the SriLankans were quick to overturn the turf like true champions.
According to many cricket fans Captain Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Asif failed to give results. Despite of being the best scorer in the tournament, Mohammad Rizwan also received backlash for being a selfish player.
Following the match former captain Shoaib Malik tweeted an almost cryptic tweet confusing many netizens while infuriating others.

With the Twenty twenty World Cup in November there is a lot of pressure to change the middle order of the team. Many twitteratis are rooting for Shoaib Malik to join the team.

The tweet did come in bad taste especially after the performance showed by the current team in the tournament. The team gave us some great wins against India, Afghanistan and Hong Kong.
However the tweet by Malik has definitely added fuel to the fire and with the World Cup around the corner, looks like we’re in for some drama.
