Sarmad Khoosat’s film, Zindagi Tamasha has been in the spotlight since a couple of months. The movie is about a man shunned after a video of him dancing at a wedding goes viral, though Sarmad Khoosat (director of the movie) took on social media to clear that he never intended to offend anyone. The movie was all set to release on the 24th of January but came under scrutiny for having objectionable content by TLP’ cheif Khadim Hussain Rizvi.
Sarmad wrote an open letter to the Prime Minister Imran Khan, seeking for help and bringing into his notice that he and his team are receiving threats from a religious group. Since no one from the government helped him, his father, Irfan Khoosat filed an FIR against the religious group and it seems like that even didn’t help them much.
As the movie;s release is suspended after the religious roar, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi has added to the situation. While addressing the party workers and supporters at Faisal Chowk on the occasion of Kashmir Day, he said, ” We will not let the film Zindagi Tamasha release and will do whatever it takes to make sure it does not see the light of day.”

He further added that government, Zindagi Tamasha’ team, and all those who are supporting the film can do whatever they can but the film will release over his dead body.
We really hope that this matter gets resolved easily and both TLP and the team of Zindagi Tamsha come on the same page.
