Although the covid-19 vaccination process has begun in Pakistan, many users are complaining about the slow process because until now it was only senior citizens above the age of 70 years old who were eligible for receiving the first and second dosage. Until now, a video sparked outrage on Twitter which showed the Federal Minister for Housing Tariq Bashir Cheema and his family were receiving the Covid-19 vaccine in their homes, and among them included the former model and actress Iffat Omar.

Twitter users were shocked at this discovery and were reminding her to stop utilizing her privilege to seek something that not half of the population has access to yet:

Iffat Omar reached out to address the rumors in a now deleted tweet where she said that the vaccine she recieved was a booster shot of a Casino (trial) vaccine that was received from the UHS.

Afterwards, she once more tweeted “Folks-take it easy!” and posted a link to a GEO news clip reporting that the Covid-19 shot Tariq Bashir Cheema and his family had received was a trial vaccine from the University of Health Sciences:
