Trans activist and model Kami Sid finally stepped into the limelight as she walked the ramp at Hum Showcase for Ninelines. She made history by becoming first ever trans model to walk the runway for Hum Showcase.
Speaking to a local publication upon getting an opportunity to walk the ramp at HUM Showcase, the model stated ,” I got selected for HUM Showcase after my ‘Beyond Beautiful’ walk I got a call from them early morning the next day. I feel so lucky, this is huge news for me! This time, it’s not a showstopper gig, I will be walking as a mainstream model on all three days. I am really thankful to the people who gave me this opportunity, like Raheel Rao and Rizwan Beyg.”

Kami is a transgender activist, model and actor who has also starred in a short film ‘Rani’ and bagged an award for it at an international film festival bringing pride to Pakistan. She is currently running her own organisation in Karachi which focuses on promoting the rights and well-being of gender and sexual minorities!
