A scene from “Main Manto Nahi Hoon” is getting criticized across social media and the viewers. It all started with when Mehmal (played by Sajal Aly criticized Professor Manto (played Humayun Saeed lacking motivation due his wife gaining weight which has led to a wave of backlash for audience because of blatant body shaming.

The users are questioning the intent behind the scene, where in 2025  we are trying to break the stereotypes, this kind of scenes not just comes as a disclaimer but as a deflation where body shaming is still an issue and that seems to be the only way to motivation. Although the dialogue exactly meant to entertain as of how Sajal Aly delivered ” kiun kay ab apkay chehray pe motivation nazar nahi ati.” but it did not land well. It still shows that a women’s weight is a measure of her value.

What a bizarre scene. So UNREAL and BAD.
Like I can’t even imagine the most bratty kids in my class to say something like this to our professor.

This scene is absurd, in a classroom setting where the students are laughing at a professor where one proudly throws jokes is considered nothing but disrespectful, that too in big 2025? this raises a question of the power and influence these celebrities hold and what they are trying to convey, where do we draw a line between self expression and harm?

I don’t know why I watched this clip again, but how’s asking a teacher about their martial status even pertinent to the class? Who does that?

This is so ridiculous. KRQ is one sick sick man. And don’t even get me started on the dialogues….. https://t.co/wiX53PbbHt

Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is no stranger to public criticism and with “Main Manto Nahi hoon” the viewers are questioning the ethics behind a pen. This scene became a flashpoint, symbolizing everything viewers feel is wrong with Qamar’s writing. it does not seems to please the audience and has lead to dissent.

In 2025 where people are challenging outdated beauty standards and standing up against casual misogyny , scenes like this no longer unnoticed neither are the brushed aside for just a laugh. its high time we talk about all this and bring this into consideration.
