While on this Eid, many celebrities celebrated the occasion with reels showing the glamorous parties they held with friends and family members, another celebrity took a different route and made an accurate reflection about how it’s mandatory to prioritize your mental health over festivities.
Saba Qamar has always been a fan favourite for how every Eid, she steps out looking like she just got out of a Faraz Mannan catalogue. But this Eid, the actress revealed that she chose not to take part in the special occasion because of how work had taken a toll on her mental health.
The ‘Tumharay Husn Kay Naam’ actress said that because of the way travelling and back-to-back work had taken a toll on her body, she decided to listen to her body for once and rest instead,
“I know so many of you were waiting to see my Eid look this time, and I just want to say..there wasn’t one. I didn’t wear anything special, didn’t dress up and for once, I didn’t feel like I needed to.
This Eid, I chose rest. Pure, simple, soulful rest. I spent these three days lying down, oil in my hair, good food infrount of me, quiet prayers in my heart and a whole lot of healing. It’s been months of back-to-back work, constant travel and nonstop energy. My heart was quietly asking for a break and I listened. Sometimes we have to pause, breathe, and come home to ourselves. This Eid, I did just that. No glam, no noise, just me-time.
But now…I’m back in action starting tomorrow! And I promise, I’ll make it up to you all very soom. Thank you for always holding space for me- for understanding, loving and supporting me, even when I disappear for a bit.
Sending you all my live- and a gentle reminder to always listen to your heart when it whispers ‘Rest’.”
