Veteran actor Tauqeer Nasir was a guest on the Neo entertainment channel ‘Zabardast with Wasi Shah’ where he claimed that the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan had copied a character from his old dramas for the film ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’.

The Tamgha-e-Imtiaz recipient started by praising the Bollywood star for consistently sending him messages praising his work, but expressed his disappointment for not receiving credit after finding glaring similarities between the former’s character from the Pakistani drama ‘Parwaaz’ and Shah Rukh’s character from ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’.

Tauqeer elaborated  Khan’s character from the Bollywood film borrowed several elements from his character in ‘Parwaaz’ such both of them had an injured right leg, as well as both complex heroes who were confused regarding which woman should they choose.

The Sitara-e-Imtiaz winner said both Khan and the film’s director Karan Johar, should have given credit to the author Mustansar Hussain Tarar, who had written ‘Parwaaz’.

The veteran actor also said he had received offers to work in Bollywood, and had gotten a call from the Indian director Sawan Kumar Tak to work in a film in which Madhuri Dixit was co-starring. But, Tauqeer Nasir said he ended up rejecting the offer.
