The Sindh Education Department announced today that from now onwards, subjects like music will be taught in schools to little children. Journalist Muzzamil Syed posted this announcement on social media today, and said that the decision was helpful in encouraging children to embrace critical thinking and creativity.
“Fundamentalism and clerical bigotry won’t bring us our very own Renaissance. It’d be art, it’d be music, it’d be critical thinking and it’d be freethinking which could achieve that feat. What a breath of fresh air.”

Excellent @BBhuttoZardari. Well done! In the face of extremism and brutality, we move in a positive tolerant direction. https://t.co/isQwr3Yogl

Great decision! I believe other provinces should follow this too. Music can surely lift your soul, its therapeutic at the same time. An art that must be endorsed and respected if we really want to see great artists in future.Well done Sindh government! https://t.co/OAQM24sjiK

This is how it’s done. PLEASE take note @betterpakistan This is what is needed, not more of “heroic Muslims achievements”. This is a land older than what you’re proposing under the NIC/SNC. Acknowledge it, own it, teach it. https://t.co/idOwI8WR3p
