“I can’t believe I finally have the courage to post this,” began Annie Khalid (singer and pride of Pakistan) is a mother of a sweet little girl Isha whose entire world shifted on January 23rd, 2024. A date she describes as “etched into my soul forever.” That was the day her vibrant, joyful, and perfectly healthy 7-year-old daughter, Isha, suffered not one but two cardiac arrests just eight hours apart.

What followed was every parent’s worst nightmare. Isha’s tiny heart couldn’t bear the burden of arrhythmia and hypoxia. She was without oxygen for 45 harrowing minutes, her organs failing, her body tired, and her doctors losing hope. “We were told… it was time to put her on life support.”

She was intubated, placed on a heart-lung bypass machine, with dialysis keeping her kidneys alive. “I watched through a blur of tears as my little girl, who once danced through our home with endless energy, lay motionless, tangled in wires and machines.” The Isha Annie knew – bright, full of life was fighting a silent battle her body could barely endure.

Doctors warned the family of brain damage, paralysis, and organ failure. “She had developed peripheral neuropathy, and because of the extent of the brain injury, she could no longer walk,” Annie wrote. A wheelchair became Isha’s reality.

But Annie didn’t lose faith.

“Because when medicine had no more answers… Allah did,” she said. “He is Ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem, the Most Kind, the Most Merciful. And Isha is His miracle.”

Defying every prediction, Isha survived. Not just survived — lived. She smiles, she laughs, and she’s healing. “She’s stronger than I ever knew a child could be. And Insha’Allah, she will walk again one day.”

When asked, “Annie, where have you been?” she answered with purpose: “I’ve been here. Doing the most important thing in the world — being a mother to the most courageous, resilient, and beautiful girl I’ve ever known.”

Her story is a reminder that where logic ends, divine mercy begins. And that sometimes, miracles wear the face of a smiling 7-year-old.  This news has left people heartbroken, shaken, and in tears. Social media is flooded with emotional reactions, as readers struggle to process the pain Annie shared.
