Shehzad Roy is one of the few Pakistani celebrities who keep reaffirming our faith in humanity because of how much he has done to support causes like improving children’s access to education and family planning. The singer had recently appeared on a television show where he talked about the growing stigma society has towards daughters and how it is shown from the moment they are born. In this clip, he discussed a horrifying instance where at a hospital he watched a nurse console a friend because she assumed he would be upset because he had a daughter

Now the singer has spoken out on the need to encourage public awareness on the use of contraceptives as well as family planning in order to help counter the population growth in Pakistan. In a tweet, Shehzad Roy addressed the Prime Minister Imran Khan by urging him to remove the tax from contraceptives so that families can have better access to family planning methods
