
After her massive comeback in Case No.9, Amina Sheikh discussed in detail what went into creating Case No.9 in an interview with Fuchsia Magazine. Sharing her experience in shooting these intense scenes, she had immense appreciation for Saba Qamar for her performance in the drama serial. She stated that Saba Qamar’s performance is not superficial and that she taps into the role fully. Amina Sheikh admired her dedicaton to her craft by sharing how she ended up in the hospital twice due to fainting episodes on set.

Referring to her as a pillar of the drama industry, she shared how Saba Qamar debuted opposite to her in the drama serial “Maat” and how they both have come a long way, Amina Sheikh taking a break and having a family and Saba Qamar building her way to the top in the Pakistani drama industry. She appreciated Saba Qamar’s journey of evolution and grooming. She also shared how they were out of touch after “Maat”, however, with Case No.9 they reconnected from where they left. She touched on how she has worked with Faysal Qureshi in “monumental” projects as well.

Calling themselves Yin Yang, Sheikh stated them to being opposites in personalities with different backgrounds with no on set clashes. The on-screen power pair connected over womenhood with vaste conversations about mid-age physical and emotional changes in female bodies. This enabled them to find a level of understanding during their performances.

When questioned about performing intense scenes as Beenish in Case No.9, she called it being her most “non emotive” character played so far. Along with which she added that roles like Sehar (played by Saba Qamar) are cathartic roles she had been used to playing in the past which are intense and triggering for the actor as well.
