Ruswai has been one of the most impactful dramas, shedding light on the most sensitive issue of our society, “Rape”.
The pain of a rape survivor is unimaginable and the struggle to get justice in a rotten political system requires nerves of steel.
This drama has been a power-pack of magnificent performances and each character played its role to the finest and marked its own importance in the drama.
The drama started off on a lighter note with a fairy-tale romance between Sameera (Sana Javed) and Salman (Mikaal Zulfiqar ) and not to forget Hamza and Warda gained equal attention with their on screen chemistry.
Sameera’s rape changes the whole story and brings a rollar coaster of emotions and incidents in the drama. Where we praise Sana Javed for her strong character, her brother Hamza (Osama Tahir ) has played the character of a loving and a very caring brother who supports his sister till she gets justice for herself.
Dr. Feroze has also been appreciated as he played the character of a strong man who is not affected by how the world sees a rape survivor. We definitely need more of such men in our society.
The entry of Mukhara Mai left us all in tears and was surely a great surprise as women when build each other up and when they stand with each other to set such examples of courage then only there comes a change in the society!
Ruswai has left fans with immense hope, courage and strength especially to all the women out there to stand up for their rights and raise their voice for justice.
