In a breakthrough, a three-year-old girl named Nazia, who was abducted from Karachi’s Gulshan e Maymar,  has been safely recovered in Rawalpindi, ARY News reported. The police led a high-stakes intelligence-led operation. The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs. 5 million from the child’s father, Muhammadullah, for her safe release. The successful recovery was the result of a seamless joint operation between the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) Karachi, the Punjab Police, and the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC).

After the kidnapping case was registered at the Gulshan-e-Maymar police station, the Deputy Inspector General(DIG) of the Crime Investigation Agency(CIA) issued special directives to form a high-level task force. Led by Senior Superintendent of Police Asif Baloch, the team utilized advanced geo-fencing and modern digital forensics to track the suspects’ movements across provincial borders.
The trail led investigators to Rawalpindi, where a coordinated raid was conducted; while the young victim was found unharmed and has since been reunited with her family, the primary suspect managed to evade arrest during the raid.
Police officials have confirmed that the fugitive has been identified and that several teams are currently conducting raids to ensure his capture.
