The Punjab Child Protection Welfare Bureau has launched an animated series as part of their ‘good touch, bad touch’ awareness program. In a tweet posted on X, the series was developed with the intention of teaching little children about inappropriate touching and speak up when their personal boundaries are violated.

“As per the vision of the CM Punjab, the CPWB, guided by Chairperson Sarah Ahmed’s commitment to child welfare, has once again launched the impactful ‘Good Touch Bad Touch’ awareness campaign! Our heroes “Haya and Bahadur” will empower kids to confront and not cower when faced with inappropriate touch! Let’s join hands to safeguard our children and make Punjab a safer place!”

On March 12, the Punajb Home Department had sent an official announcement to the Punjab School Education Department calling for school curriculum’s to include awareness about ‘good touch, bad touch’ for children.

The communique, according to Dunya News, stated that it was mandatory for children to have proper awareness and education so that they won’t fall victim to abuse or sexual exploitation.
