Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) followers across the globe have taken to the streets to display a power show in protest of the dismissal of former Prime Minister and party chairman Imran Khan, following the vote of no-confidence against PM in the parliament.

Large demonstrations were held not only in different cities across Pakistan but also in other countries, a day after being removed from office. Protests were staged in Pakistani cities such as Mingora, Lahore, Peshawar, Swat, Gujrat, Karachi, Nowshera, Dera Ghazi Khan and Mandi Bahauddin.

Outside of the country, protestors gathered in countries such as Dubai, Australia and USA alongside others.

Earlier, Imran had shared a tweet calling for what he called the beginning of a “freedom struggle” against what he deemed to be a “foreign conspiracy of regime change” Addressing PTI supporters, the former prime minister wrote “Pakistan became an independent state in 1947; but the freedom struggle begins again today against a foreign conspiracy of regime change. It is always the people of the country who defend their sovereignty and democracy.”
