Samar Jafri is getting praises on the internet for delivering his best performance in the recent episode of ‘Parwarish’ when in a major climax, Wali finally gets the courage to break free from his father’s abusive control and walks out of his home.
The drama Parwarish airs every Monday and Tuesday on 8pm at ARY Digital and stars Aina Asif, Samar Jafri, Nauman Ijaz and Savera Nadeem.
In this episode, Wali’s recent altercation with Maya’s fiance comes to light as her father demands the family to fix his daughter’s reputation by marrying both of them. When Wali’s father rejects the suggestion, despite Wali himself wanting to take this moment to prove his independence, it ultimately leads to the dad berating the son for never having done anything in his life to prove that he was capable of handling himself. Wali chooses to break free from his family and walks out in the night, despite the rest of the family members attempting to stop him.
Samar is extremely talented like the entire episode i was in awe the way he portrayed Wali’s entire emotions 💔#Parwarish #SamarJafri pic.twitter.com/olT6jAdBcL

Social media users called this episode the drama’s most moving and emotional part yet, with how Wali chose to break away from his father’s control rather than chose to remain in silence like his mother and sister had.
“The phenomenal actor Samar Jafri is. This era he is showcasing all his talents throughout. Be it singing or acting. He nailed in each and every scene but this one,” a user wrote.

This realistic approach towards adulthood is what makes this show stand out #Samarjafri #parwarish pic.twitter.com/JXQO5hBBum— Kisa (@Swify_R) June 17, 2025
“The way samar jafri portrayed helplessness, betrayal & pain is one for the history books. this actor outdoes himself EVERY SINGLE TIME and he acts in a way where u can actually feel what his character is going through as if its happening to u,” wrote another user.

Many users were left in tears with how Wali and Sameer relationship went from hating one another to him begging Wali not to leave the house.
“The way Sameer broke down for Wali today… that’s real brotherhood. The kind that doesn’t need explanations. Watching them like this literally shattered me :)” a user wrote.

Others applauded how despite Wali’s father refused to believe in him and let him leave the house without any support, his grandfather was the one who stepped up by providing him with some cash and a phone, and promised to help him in any way.
One man called him a bloody loser. The other handed him a phone, a little money & said, “Call me when you make it.” While Jahangir crushed his son’s spirit, Dada handed Wali the courage to leave. Sometimes, all you need is one person to believe in you.#Parwarish pic.twitter.com/JfoKxVf7i6

Many praised how the episode made a critical point of the way eldest siblings in desi households are made to sacrifice their dreams to keep their fathers happy, and how Wali had won hearts by choosing to walk away from the abuse and control even if it meant that he had nothing on him.
“Always the eldest child who’s expected to sacrifice their dreams to accommodate their father’s irrational decisions. Fathers like Jahangir are exactly why so many children grow up feeling the urge to escape long before they should have to. #Parwarish,” a user wrote.

Underestimating your wife, humiliating your son, gaslighting your family, playing the hero to your daughter while being a storm in your son’s life & hurting everyone. At this point, Jahangir’s character development in parwarish is desperately needed.#Parwarish pic.twitter.com/aoIukhfVyd
