Today it was announced that the legendary dramatist and playwright Haseena Moin had passed away in Karachi at the age of 79. She was regarded as one of the most celebrated icons of the Pakistani entertainment industry for producing television serials like Tanhiyaan, Kiran Kahani and Uncle Urfi, which are still revered by the current generation for their feminist themes and witty dialogue.
When the news reached social media, fans of the prolific dramatist included Pakistani celebrities who had grown up watching the work of Haseena Moin on screen along with the rest of us and took to social media to pay tribute to her iconic career. Here we have some of the tweets below:
