In a swift crackdown on public harassment, the Crime Control Department (CCD) has arrested a man following a viral TikTok video depicting indecent behaviour outside a girls’ college in Okara, ARY News reported. The CCD received a complaint regarding a video showing the main accused with two accomplices, recording inappropriate content in front of Punjab College and other educational institutions.

The suspect has been identified as Ghulam Sabir and is under police custody as they investigate to arrest the two remaining suspects, District Police Officer (DPO) of Okara confirmed. The DPO Okara posted on X:

CCD, responsible for the arrest, is currently going through an expansion under the directive of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif. With the objective of aligning with the world’s top five crime-control agencies, CCD is moving beyond traditional policing toward technology-driven systems. CCD will now use AI-powered surveillance systems and advanced forensic tools. It will have its provincial headquarters, with dedicated stations in every division, district and tehsil. It will also have its own investigative software to track criminal activity in real time.

The CCD has been yielding results with a prominent decline in kidnapping, robbery and gender based crimes in the past year. The crime control agency will be launching a campaign against illegal firearms this Eid al-Fitr.
