As a guest on Nida Yasir’s Shan-e-Suhoor, Yashma Gill shared a heart-touching story about how she reconciled with her father after he rejected her career as an actress. Speaking about the stigma in the media industry, she stated that her father stopped talking to her for a year when she chose to be an actress. While her mother supported her, her father stopped responding even to her greetings.
Sharing her experience on her first Umrah, she stated that it was a wholesome experience as her career brought her immense respect there. Her fan used to bring her sehri-iftaar in her hotel room, and a fan gifted her the ghilaf-e-Kabah. She further added that seeing the respect she is receiving at the holy place, her father believed that she was doing something right. He stated that if she was receiving this respect and honour in Mecca, she surely is doing some good deeds in her life.
