No woman deserves to receive harassment from men because of her profession, and actress Maryam Nafees is done with men who spam a woman’s messages with gross comments. She shared a screenshot today of a man in her Instagram messages who was consistently harassing her by asking about her night rates. In the caption, Maryam pointed out how men have assumed that women who work as entertainers like actors, dancers or models, are prostitutes and therefore have harassed them this way. She further clarified that no woman, despite her profession, deserves to be treated in such a disrespectful manner, and should immediately call them out on this attitude:

“The point of putting this up is because I truly want to put a stop to this.

I don’t know who’s responsible for these morons to think this way and who’s entertaining them but no! Absolutely not! I and my esteemed co-actresses respectfully work for twelve hours (sometimes more) everyday and we refuse to tolerate this mentality. We come from educated backgrounds to make a name for ourselves, nobody and I mean NOT A SINGLE PERSON is allowed to disrespect us.”
