
A chilling incident has sent shockwaves in Lahore, where the Harbanspura police have arrested a domestic worker for murdering a two-year-old boy under her care, Express News reported. Responding to a 15 emergency call, Station House Officer(SHO) Waqas Ahmad, conducted a swift raid directed by Superintendent of Police(SP), Cantt Akhtar Nawaz, The successful raid led to the immediate apprehension of the suspect before she could flee the crime scene.
The police have identified the suspect as Aneela, who allegedly killed the toddler, Zaid, by smothering him with a pillow and cloth. Upon investigation, the police revealed that she had sought revenge on her employers after a heated argument with the victim’s father. An official first information report (FIR) has been registered against the suspect by the grieving father, Muhammad Umar. Meanwhile, the police have handed the suspect over to the investigation wing to uncover the details of the crime. Talking about the incident, SP Cantt, Akhtar Nawaz, stated that such heinous acts against children are intolerable. He further added that the culprit will face exemplary punishment from the courts to set a precedent.
