Karachi: Police arrest manager in Rs. 100 million robbery, three others nabbed in follow-up raids

Police have arrested a man from Karachi’s Malir Shah Latif for involvement in the robbery of Rs. 100 million from his employer, ARY News reported. Working as a manager, Abdul Manan, the suspect, looted the amount from the owner. He was arrested after the police conducted an operation in the city and apprehended the manager.

Upon arrest, the suspect identified his accomplices, and three additional arrests were made on that basis. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir, Abdul Khaliq Pirzada, said that these arrests included the son of a former police officer as well, and that the three have been identified as Sajid, Hassan and Abdul Latif. During the arrests, police recovered Rs. 5.4 million in cash, two pistols and five mobile phones in their possession.

Talking to the media, SSP Malir further added that Rs. 3 million were recovered from a house located in Malir Jail Staff Colony. The primary suspect, Abdul Manan, was employed as a manager in a poultry farm, where he allegedly formed a gang and planned the robbery.
