A horrifying incident took place in Basti Khokaranwala in Kabirwala of District Khanewal, where a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted, Dawn reported. The girl was a victim of sexual assault after she took a ride home from her class fellow’s father. In the First Information Report (FIR) lodged by Kabirwala City Police, the incident occurred on Saturday, when she was waiting outside the school for her ride back home. After the young girl entered the vehicle, he did not drop her at her residence; he allegedly diverted to his own home.
Once inside the residence, the suspect allegedly subjected the 13-year-old victim to sexual assault, coercing her into silence under threats to her life. The matter came to light after the girl informed her family, prompting her uncle to lodge a formal complaint with the local authorities. Acting swiftly on the report, the Kabirwala City police registered an FIR and launched an operation, successfully apprehending the suspect shortly after the complaint was filed. Police officials confirmed that the accused remains in custody as forensic and legal proceedings continue to ensure justice for the young victim.
