Stranger Things has become a household name since Season 4 dropped in June, and now it has also put Joseph Quinn, who stars in the show as Eddie Munson, in to the spotlight. Joseph was a guest yesterday at the popular US talk show “Jimmy Fallon Live” where he revealed that he didn’t almost make it to the show because he was held up at immigration the day before.

The actor further revealed that he was placed in a dungeon-like place where the officers interrogated him, until one of them recognized that he played Eddie Munson from “Stranger Things”

“I was taken into-I guess what you could call it, more of a dungeon. And I was asked to wait here for twenty minutes. Then I was summoned to this desk where this officer asks me ‘what are you doing in the United States, sir?’ I said, ‘Well I’m actually here to meet Jimmy Fallon on ‘The Tonight Show’.’ And he didn’t believe me. And then one of his colleagues looked over at me and then turned to him and said ‘Leave Eddie alone.’ And that’s when he recognized that I was Eddie Munson from Stranger Things!”

Joseph also joked that the officers first asked him about whether he comes back next season, and then gave him his passport:

“He asked ‘Do you come back next season?’ And I said ‘um, I don’t know.” He said ‘You better.’ And he gave me the passport and let me go.”
