While promoting her film, Mera Lyari, Dananeer Mobeen sat with Fuchsia Magazine and opened up about her relationship with her father. She stated that having a father’s support changes a girl’s perspective towards life. Talking about her father, she said that she is ready for any hurdle in life because she knows that her father is there to have her back. The fact that a girl knows her father trusts her is what gives her the boost she needs.
Taking it directly to the audience, Dananeer added that young girls with paternal support tend to be more confident and resilient. She added that such girls have a strong backbone and a strong support system that enables them to handle hardships with ease. She said that girls mostly have their mother’s support; however, when they have their father’s support, especially in this society, it makes them stronger.

Referring to girls who come from broken families or do not share a cordial relationship with their fathers, Dananeer added that they have a void in their lives. She added that no relationship can fill the void left by an absent father, neither a husband nor a brother.
