Bollywood sensation Katrina Kaif and the award winning actor Vicky Kaushal are now officially married with pictures of the new couple’s wedding currently making the rounds on social media.
After many months of guessing and conjecture, Bollywood’s private couple made it official with a grand wedding ceremony. The couple flew out from Mumbai to Rajasthan on Monday, for the wedding ceremony which included “a glass mandap, a horse-drawn carriage and a doli for the bride”, and was mainly an intimate affair because Katrina and Vicky invited only close family and friends.
As per reports, Katrina and Vicky twinned in floral attire for the sangeet which was held with friends and family at Fort Barwara on Wednesday, to which Katrina wore a pink lehenga while Vicky Kaushal matched her ensemble with a floral sherwani. According to Pinkvilla, the couple spent Rs 4.5 lakh for the Sangeet cake. They hired a Delhi-based baker to prepare a five-tier cake for their pre-wedding function.
Prior to this, the leading Bollywood actress had kept the news of her relationship entirely private. Only in an interview with DNA in 2016, had Katrina Kaif hinted at it, revealing that only when she is married, will she officially be with someone. “Wasn’t it me who said that I am single till I marry (laughs)? So we must always stand by our statements and since technically my status is ‘unmarried’, I guess I am still single,” Katrina Kaif had said.
