TW// discussion of rape
Kamran, who has been playing a victim since the first episode, is now stuck in a whirlwind after a confrontation with his wife. Manisha is aware of his past discrepancies and finds it hard to believe his innocence. In result of which, Kamran can be seen brewing a plot of compassion and seduction in episode 9.
To protect himself against his wife( also business partner), he portrays Sehar to be a seductress who had lured him into being with her and was pushing him to marry her. Upon refusal, she then accused him of rape and pulled his childhood best friend in the mix. Rohit, the childhood bestfriend is now stuck between his social activist wife and best friend(Kamran) is unable to find middle ground to put things together for Kamran.
So far in Case No. 9, Sehar is fighting a legal battle against Kamran over a rape accusation. She falls back due to lack of evidence while Kamran with the police in his pocket pleads not guilty. His power falls short where his personal relationships suffer due to the trial.
Kamran’s performance in front of Manisha is spot-on! The teary eyed Kamran is full of remorse for falling into Sehar’s plot. He uses his former affairs in his defense that he was weakened by his habit of flirting and fell for a greater scheme. He backs his apparent affair by claiming lack of attention from his pregnant wife. He soothes Manisha by giving her the angle where he too is at fault by flirting and building a relationship outside the office.
The audience is enjoying the plot while they find Kamran’s manipulation tactics etremely eerie.
Kamran is a perfect example of how a man manipulates. 👏 #CaseNo9

Viewers are able to find a touch of reality in the plot where victims are portrayed as culprits while the victim plays innocent just like Kamran.
The changing expressions and tone has put more light to how a rapist can make his way through such strong allegations. A viewer wrote:
What a chameleon! #FaysalQureshi as Kamran is not your typical villain. He’s so normal (even overwhelmed and scared at times). There’s no OTT projection of his sinister side yet there’s a menacing glimpse thrown every now and then that drives you crazy.#caseno9 pic.twitter.com/YfztRy5mm5

By the end of the episode, he has somehow made his wife believe his story, however a seed of doubt remains. This is what sets Case No. 9 apart from any assault centred drama.
A netizen said on X:
What I am REALLY liking about #CaseNo9 is, not a single woman believes Kamran is innocent, including his wife.
And mercifully, there has hardly been any victim blaming.— Amrita (@_Hinkypunk_) October 20, 2025
Case No. 9 has engaged audiences in a realistic plot which also explains the sensitivity of a court hearing and the extent a perpetrator can go to prove themselves right.
