PDM Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed doubts about the legitimacy of Imran Khan being shot at his rally, raising questions about the dubious and contradictory statements that have so far been shared by the hospital Khan was admitted in.
Rahman said “Upon first hearing the news of the gun attack on Imran, we had all sympathized with Khan, but as time passed it began to seem like it was all a drama.”
He claimed that the ambiguity surrounding Khan’s injuries was reason for concern. He added that nothing seemed to be clear: whether Khan had been hit by one gun shot, two, three or four shots.
Furthermore, JUI-F leader questioned PTI claims that Khan had been hurt by “pieces” of gunshots that had been fired at the long march. He refuted this assertion asking: “How is it possible that a bullet broke into pieces? We have heard about a piece from a bomb, but never a bullet. Blind people have accepted Khan’s lies.
Maulana Fazl also pointed out that it was intriguing that Khan “was taken to Lahore instead of being admitted to a nearby hospital (in Wazirabad)”.
