Proclaimed director Nadeem Baig was a guest on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast where he opened up about the success of the critically acclaimed drama ‘Pyaray Afzal’ which starred Hamza Ali Abbasi and Ayeza Khan. On the podcast, the ‘Teri Meri Kahaniyaan’ director revealed originally, he had picked Humayun Saeed to play the love lorn man Afzal, but decided to give Hamza a chance as he was a new actor back then.
Baig reflected on the decision, saying it was a way of challenging himself by picking someone who was new for the role. He said he told Humayun that the role wasn’t for him, who accepted it and Hamza Ali Abbasi was cast as the lead.
