Looks like feeling blue no longer implies melancholy; Pantone’s color of the year for 2022 is a new color called ‘Very Peri’. Pantone describes it as “a dynamic periwinkle blue hue with a vivifying violet red undertone blends the faithfulness and constancy of blue with the energy and excitement of red. Very Peri, the happiest and warmest of all the blue hues, introduces an empowering mix of newness.”

We are living in unheard of times and one of the coping mechanisms to fair with the speed and vulnerability of today is to change the way we think. After 2 years of isolation and sadness, it’s about time we shift our focus to being happier, content and re-energized. For this style feature we highlight various ways we can style this color. After all, for us getting dressed up and looking our best is a pick-me-up.

The color works best as a solid, styling it in the form of a blazer or high waisted pants will give your #ootd that extra oomph. The breezy vibe the color reflects also works best as a mid length dress. Looking for an eastern wear option? The color blends well for a wedding in the afternoon or a sundowner.
